Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. Christ was raised from the dead and now, by  God's amazing grace,  eternal life is offered as a free gift to all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as their own Savior.  It is not of our own works that we can be saved. It is by faith alone in Christ alone.
